Next week will be an exciting one for Wicomico County Public Schools, as educators gather from around the school system April 10th for the annual Wicomico Teacher of the Year Celebration. The 26 semifinalists who were named earlier this year, and who took part in several scored activities, will find out that night who is one of the four finalists, and which finalist is the new Teacher of the Year. Good luck to all of them, and congratulations on being such excellent representatives of the teachers in their school or special program. Thanks to Jen Seay Campbell for donating her photographic services to take the semifinalists "class photo" shown here. She also took a professional portrait of each semifinalist. While we wait for next Thursday, here's a chance for all of us to get to know the 2024-2025 school year's semifinalists for Wicomico Teacher of the Year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r03E_-02834. This video will also be airing on PAC 14.

National School Librarian Appreciation Day Today is National School Librarian Day. School librarians spend long hours keeping the library organized, are dedicated to helping our students find the resources they need to keep learning, create an environment where students can learn every day of the year, provide guidance and expose our youth not only to texts, print media, and literature but to digital resources and technology, too and connect students to libraries around the world. Today we would like to recognize our own Ms. Kara Brown for all you do. Without a doubt one of the easiest ways to make her day would be to say a quick thank you or ask for a book recommendation. Thanks again for all you do.

Realtor Pam Price, ranked among the top 1% of real estate agents in America, visited Mrs. Blumenthal’s Business Math class to share her expertise on the real estate industry. She gave students an inside look at what it takes to become a successful realtor, how realtors earn income, and why understanding credit is essential when buying a home. Her presentation connected perfectly with our units on pay and credit, giving students valuable real-world knowledge. Thank you, Pam, for another great session!

Several of our students and staff have been CAUGHT BEING KIND over the past couple of months here at MMHS, and we want to recognize that all of the small and random acts of kindness build up, and help us all to keep going! Continue passing on kindness to one another. Even the little things matter and may help someone to have a better day! It can create a ripple effect. Thank you for your smile and being here every day. Remember, you are loved!
