
On Next Monday the 20th, before our Thanksgiving holiday break, our school staff and PBIS team would like to acknowledge and award our hard working students who earned a 2.5 GPA or better AND NO Conduct Referrals during the 1st Quarter! Anyone who met those criteria will receive an ice cream ticket on MONDAY from their 4th period teacher, to be used at lunch on either Monday or Tuesday. There will be non-dairy and fruit bar items for those who are lactose intolerant or with other dietary concerns. There were 525 students that met these criteria in Quarter 1!!! Congratulations students!! We are proud of your hard work!


Wednesday November 15th is the start of Winter Sports season. All new 23-24 school year athletes must have a valid physical dated after June 1, 2023, have completed online Form ReLeaf to participate, and have a 2.0 minimum GPA.
For tryouts, students should meet their coaches in the following locations:
Starting Wednesday:
Wrestling: Coach D. Johnson in the auxiliary gym, 3PM
Girls Basketball: Coach Sullivan in the main gym, 3PM
Indoor Track: Coach Matonak in room C100, 3PM
Boys Basketball: Coach T. Johson in the main gym at 5PM
Starting Thursday:
Unified Strength and Conditioning: Coach Hasting in room B2, 3PM
Cheer: Coach Arnold on the stage, 3:30


Food Drive a Success


Next monthly Wicomico Board of Education meeting will be 7 pm Tuesday, Nov. 14 in the Board of Education Auditorium, 101 Long Ave., Salisbury. Pre-registration for public comments required. Online pre-registration open through Monday, Nov. 13. https://board_public_comments.wcboe.org/


Reminder for students and families: Tuesday, Nov. 7 is the last day of the 1st marking term. Students will be dismissed 3 hours early. Report cards will come out on Nov. 14.


If your student participated in the PSAT on October 11th, scores will be available on November 6th. Students will be able to access scores with the following methods:
If the student opted in to BigFuture School by providing a cell phone number, access scores through the mobile app.
Access scores online through student’s College Board account.

Families and staff: Reminder that Daylight Saving Time ends early on Sunday morning. Remember to set those clocks back an hour so you'll be on time for Sunday activities and school on Monday.

Mardela’ Honor Societies hosted another wonderful Harvest Fest. As usual, our students went above and beyond to make this a great event for the community. Thank you to everyone who came out to the event and all of our parent volunteers! #WarriorPride











Mardela girls started their playoff run with a 2-0 home win over North Dorchester. Samantha Witte scored both goals. Lynleigh Willing and Camryn Dorr set up the first goal. Alayna Goslee provided the second assist. Lexie Guy recorded the shutout in goal. The ladies will now host the Regional Championship on Tuesday.


The first Superintendent's Open Door Session of the 2023-2024 school year will take place from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the school system's office at 2424 Northgate Drive. Anyone who would like to meet with Superintendent Dr. Micah Stauffer about Wicomico County Public Schools may have up to 15 minutes, no appointment needed. The Unified Tennis team won gold medals at the district tournament on Monday, October 23. Everyone played very well, showed great sportsmanship, and had some fun. Team members are Johnny Jamrok, Maverick Kotra, Simon Kotra, Sophia Mannices, Meaghan Shockley, Trenton Williamson, Nick Wright, and Sarah Wright. The team advances to the State Tournament on November 7th.
