Throughout this school year, our Junior Honor Society members have been fundraising for our 3rd Annual Spring Service Project! 🌸📚
At the end of May, members stayed after school to prepare for this special event by practicing their reading of Biscuit Goes to School, creating discussion questions for Pre-K students, and planning a fun puppy craft activity.
On June 2nd, our members traveled to Northwestern Elementary and Westside Elementary to visit Pre-K students in Ms. Muir, Ms. Darling, Mrs. Thompson, and Mrs. Sterrett’s classrooms. They read stories, led discussions, and completed crafts together.
We are incredibly proud of our Junior Honor Society members and the hard work, preparation, and care they put into this service project. It was a wonderful experience, and both our members and the Pre-K students had a fantastic time

📚✨ So proud of Mrs. Jones’s 8th Grade ELA class! ✨📚
Our amazing 8th graders recently took on the challenge of becoming authors and illustrators! They wrote, designed, and illustrated their very own children's books with engaging storylines and meaningful themes suitable for K-1 students.
After completing their books, they took a field trip to Northwestern to read their finished masterpieces directly to the littles! 🥰 Hearing the younger students laugh, engage, and connect with these stories was absolutely magical. These 8th graders absolutely crushed it.
Super proud of this group for their creativity, hard work, and the wonderful examples they set as leaders. Way to go, authors! 🦅❤️

🎨📸 LIVING HISTORY IN ALGEBRA 2! 📐🏛️
What happens when you combine history, public speaking, and advanced mathematics? You get the incredible Algebra 2 "Living Math Wax Museum!"
Today, our brilliant students completely transformed the cafeteria into an interactive history museum. Each student took on the persona of a groundbreaking historical mathematician who shaped the math we study today—from Ada Lovelace and Katherine Johnson to René Descartes and Maryam Mirzakhani.
Visitors stepped on paper "Step to Activate" buttons to bring our "wax statues" to life! Each student delivered a polished 60-to-90-second speech, demonstrating not only the rigorous algebraic concepts their figure influenced but also how that math impacts modern-day technology.
We had a massive turnout of staff, administrators, and peer classes, and the compliments are still rolling in! Guests were completely blown away by how deeply these students knew their mathematicians and how flawlessly they delivered their speeches under pressure.
We are bursting with pride over their hard work, creativity, and dedication. Scroll through the photos below to see our amazing mathematicians in action! 👇✨
