Today, Mardela Middle & High School sends a HUGE thank‑you to our incredible bus drivers! Rain or shine, early mornings and long afternoons, you show up every day with care, patience, and dedication—keeping our students safe and smiling on the road.
We appreciate all you do more than words can say. THANK YOU for being the first friendly face students see each morning and the last wave they get each afternoon! 🚦👏

💚📋 Mardela Middle & High School is giving a BIG shout‑out to our amazing administrative professionals! THANK YOU for your essential contributions to workplace efficiency and success—you are the glue that holds everything together!
From keeping us organized 🗂️ to supporting students, staff, and families every single day 🌟, your hard work, dedication, and positive spirit do not go unnoticed. We are so lucky to have you! 🙌💐

Over the past eight weeks, students in Ms. Dorman’s 7th grade ELA classes have been immersed in a Book Buddy novel study. On Friday, April 10, we hosted our culminating Gallery Walk. It was a joy to see families, staff members, and fellow students walk through and engage with the hard work displayed on every board. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our students and celebrate the power of reading! 📚✨

Today the staff of Wicomico County Public Schools is dressing casual to support the fund-raising of these four adventurers. The money raised by Over the Edge for ALICE, through the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore, goes to help families in our community who are ALICE: Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed. Many ALICE families include children in our classroom, and Wicomico Schools is stepping up (and going Over the Edge) to support them. Ours is the first school system in the area to take on this challenge.
Staff members can join this ALICE effort with their casual day donation today and in other ways that we will share soon. And anyone can make a donation to be divided among the four Ross descenders: https://givebutter.com/OTE2026/wicomico-county-public-schools.
(Individual donation links will be shared in the near future. Anyone donating $25 or more to one of our team members through the donation site will have their name added to the adventure suit so they can be part of the descent on May 8th!)

During the interactive Zoom experience, students gained firsthand insight into the world of digital content creation, gaming, and building an online brand. Tyler shared his personal journey, discussing how passion, creativity, and consistency played key roles in turning his interests into a successful career.
Students were especially engaged during the Q&A portion, where they asked thoughtful questions about career pathways, overcoming challenges, and what it takes to stand out in a competitive digital space. Tyler’s honest and relatable responses helped students see the wide range of opportunities available in modern careers, many of which extend far beyond traditional paths.
This experience not only inspired students to think creatively about their futures but also reinforced the importance of pursuing interests with dedication and confidence. Events like this highlight Mardela’s commitment to connecting students with real-world professionals and expanding their understanding of today’s evolving career landscape.
