Let's go RAMS!

Due to expectant inclement weather, the Wicomico County Board of Education meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Feb.. 11 at 7 p.m. will now be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting will still be held at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury.

In anticipation of winter weather affecting the school schedule this week, please note that students will bring home laptops and other materials today. (We recognize this may require students to transport materials back and forth, but it is necessary to be prepared in case snow comes sooner than is currently predicted.)
Tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 11) will be a school day, but we are announcing now that schools will dismiss 3 hours early on Tuesday, with no after-school or evening activities. Wicomico County Public Schools is prepared to have a virtual learning day on Wednesday, Feb. 12 if needed.
School families and staff should remain alert for other school status updates this week.

The highest level of support on a recent calendar adjustment survey favored making up a missed school day from January by having a school day with early dismissal on Monday, Feb. 17. This calendar adjustment has been recommended to the Board of Education, which will vote on it at its meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Love seeing so many RAMFAM on this list...even Shrek! 💚🤍🐏🤍💚

Calling all LEO Club members!

From Jerry Kelley and Parkside CTE Horticulture:
What an evening! The Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Educators (MAEOE) kicked off their annual conference last night with a gathering of hundreds of amazing educators from across Maryland. Parkside/Horticulture students (from left) Julia Gore (PHS), Sarah Yamakawa (JMB), and Madeline Tomlinson (PHS) were invited as part of the kickoff roundtable discussion to share their experiences and aspirations for environmental education. Thank you to Laura Collard and Camille Jefferson of MAEOE for advancing this opportunity.
We are so proud of Julia, Sarah, and Madeline! Way to represent Parkside CTE Horticulture and Wicomico County Public Schools!

RAM'p IT UP award winners for January... Toni Daniel, Danielle White, and Marla Schmidt. Each of these RAMFAM went above and beyond during January (as did many RAMFAM staff) and are so deserving of this honor! Great job, Toni, Danielle, and Marla! 💚🤍🐏🤍💚

Congratulations to our most recent group of RAMdom Pride Award winners! These individuals have displayed the character and traits that we are looking for in the RAMFAM and are deserving of these awards! Great job by all of you!

Parkside CTE would like to share a huge THANK YOU to our Parkside CTE Counseling Team as we celebrate and honor them for National School Counselor Week! We have the BEST counseling team and they all play at integral part of making Parkside CTE the great school that it is! They are the heart of Parkside CTE and they do so much, lots of it behind the scenes that people don't see, that allows the school to run smoothly. Whether as a counselor, advisor, social worker, career coach, or administrative assistant, our Parkside CTE Counseling Team always RAMps IT UP and are the BEST! 💚🤍🐏🤍💚

Some students from Wicomico County Public Schools got a sneak peek today at the Parkside Players' delightful production of "Snoopy: The Musical," which opens Friday night and runs through Sunday. Along with some dress rehearsal photos from last night, we have included a couple of photos of the Prince Street Elementary Drama Club, which got the chance to learn more about learning a role and putting on a production thanks to the Parkside Players.
The musical is in the Parkside High Auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 at the door. Come enjoy this live musical, complete with a small band!

Thank you, Parkside CTE Culinary, for cooking an amazing dinner last night for our boys basketball team for their senior night dinner!

It was great seeing all of our Spanish National Honor Society together yesterday. We were actually missing a few more due to dual enrollment. What a great group of RAMFAM!

The Wicomico County Board of Education will hold a public budget hearing at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 in the Board Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury. All are invited to attend to give input for next year's school system budget.

Our physical education classes yesterday were working on team building activities so that the new classes could get started on the right foot and have a great marking period. We love to see teamwork here at Parkside, and our PE teachers do an amazing job of incorporating that into their lessons! 💚🤍🐏🤍💚
