The Winter Wonderland Workshop is fast approaching!! This is such a special holiday experience for our students! This unique event allows children to enjoy the joy of giving by shopping for holiday gifts for two loved ones.
🗓 Dates:
Set up: Friday, December 13th (afternoon 1:00 till)
Shopping Days: December 16th & 17th
Make-Up Day: December 18th (morning only)
Clean up: December 18th (11:00 am till)
📍 Location: Westside Primary Media Center
What to Expect:
Gift Selection: Students can choose two gifts for family members of their choice.
Gift Wrapping: Volunteers will be available to help wrap gifts, making it a complete and joyful experience!

November 26th at 2:15 - Annual Turkey Wobble family event - wear sneakers, students may be signed out at the conclusion of the event.
Winter Wonderland Workshop - We’re gearing up for our Winter Wonderland Workshop and would love your help! ❄️We are looking for volunteers to assist with the event and donations of gently used items that could be used as gifts, wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper. We are asking for all donations to be dropped off to school by Friday December 6th. Your support will help make this event a magical experience for our students! Teacher of the Year - It’s Time to Nominate a Great Educator to Be the Next Wicomico Teacher of the Year! Celebrate a great teacher with a nomination for Wicomico Teacher of the Year! Nominations are now open and will be taken through Dec. 2 for the next Wicomico Teacher of the Year. Anyone in the community may seek recognition for an educator quickly and easily using the online nomination form. On Thursday, November 21, Wicomico County Public Schools held two Public Information Sessions regarding the current School Boundary Study and the two draft options for boundary changes.
There is now an ONLINE SURVEY open through Dec. 9 to gather feedback on the two draft options for the school boundary changes. Just scan the QR code in either English, Spanish or Haitian Creole to participate in this survey. We want to hear from you.

It's National School Psychology Week (Nov. 11-15), and we'd like to take this opportunity to say just how much we appreciate the team of school psychologists that supports students in Wicomico County Public Schools every day. We're so grateful for what you do!


Please join Wicomico County Public Schools in honoring and thanking American military veterans this Veterans Day (Monday, Nov. 11). In our schools, many of our students and staff will have opportunities to learn about and observe Veterans Day.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Westside Primary School! The book fair begins on Friday, November 15th and ends on Thursday, November 21st. We will stay open until 6 PM on Friday, 11/15 to allow families to come and shop.

If you have a child that is not enrolled at Westside Primary School, you are welcome to shop the fair. The fair is geared towards children aged 4-7. Please call the office 410-677-5117 to arrange a visit. All visitors to WPS must sign-in at the office with a valid drivers license.

Reminder: Schools will dismiss students 3 hours early on Friday, Nov. 8. That day is also the last day of the 1st marking term. Report cards will be distributed Nov. 15.
